Dr Carel-Piet van Eeden

Ph.D. – Holistic Life Counseling

Carel-Piet van Eeden started his journey in integrative and energy medicine in 2001 through Shiatsu and Reiki.  He continued on to become an Independent Reiki Master and has been teaching this form of energy medicine since 2005.  Being the eternal student, he has been adding to his repertoire of modalities ever since.

This has culminated in qualifications and courses in, among others:

  • Core Regeneration
  • BodyTalk
  • Karuna Reiki
  • Neuro Linguistic Programming

Dr van Eeden completed his Ph.D and qualified in Holistic Life Counselling in December 2012 through the University of Sedona.  He is currently pursuing an MBAM through the same University.

After experiencing the trauma of cancer first-hand, Carel-Piet decided to leave his corporate position as legal business analyst and focus on the field of integrative medicine.  Together with Dr. Craige Golding, he works in the Golding Institute to provide evidence based integrative solutions and training for healthcare providers and patients alike.

As a practitioner, Dr. van Eeden focuses on a wide array of challenges people face.  Because of his diverse training, the challenges addressed in sessions are many and include:

  • Lifestyle management
  • Genetic testing
  • Emotional counseling
  • Mindfulness
  • Life Coaching

As an Integrative Coach, Carel-Piet has a passion for studying and accessing the brilliance of the mind and bringing that into everyday life with the people who come to see him for sessions.  Each session is seen as a journey into finding the best version of what a person can be, through whichever modality of grouping thereof.

Dr Christie Leah Pilossof

BSc IT & Physiology with distinction, MBCHB (Wits) cum laude, Diploma in Anaesthetics (SA), PG Cert Personalised Nutrition (Middlesex Uni)

I think I’ve always been a healer at heart, but I’ve taken a rather long and winding path to discover what I actually want to do in life. Putting aside a childhood desire to become a vet, I began my university career doing a BSc in IT.

I realized fairly soon that I preferred people to computers so, after completing that degree, I went on to study medicine and graduated cum laude.

Since 2010, I have worked as a GP anesthetist but my passion for nutrition and natural medicine have led me to a more holistic and integrated approach. Along with my qualifications in mainstream medicine, I have now:

  • Undertaken additional training in Functional Nutrition and Functional Medicine, through The Institute for Functional Medicine
  • Earned a postgraduate certificate in Personalised Nutrition from Middlesex University
  • Completed a course in Integrative Medicine with  Bernard Brom
  • Enrolled in the Women’s Functional and Integrative Medicine Professional Training Programme with Dr Aviva Romm to focus on women’s health, and
  • Joined Dr Golding’s Integrative Medicine practice, where I am excited to be working alongside ‘the Anti-Aging Doctor’

What is “Integrative Medicine” you might ask? To me, it means integrating Western medical practices with what some consider to be ‘alternative’ approaches to health. This means emphasizing lifestyle – supporting health and identifying the root cause of your problems rather than simply taking more and more medication to mask the symptoms.

I aim to use the most natural approach to support your health, avoiding pharmaceuticals whenever possible (but including them when appropriate). My approach begins with focusing on what I see as the foundations of health: nutrition, movement, sleep, stress reduction and your psycho-spiritual needs and relationships. Essentially, I believe that the body has an innate ability to heal itself – by strengthening the foundations, the body will naturally move away from dysfunction and disease towards health.

My services include:

  • Women’s health
  • Health and lifestyle optimization
  • Preventative healthcare
  • Diagnosis and management of chronic health concerns
  • DNA testing through DNAlysis (including DNA diet, health, sport and oestrogen)
  • Nutritional advice for specific health conditions, weight management and detoxification programs
  • Bio-identical hormone replacement, neutraceuticals, supplementation advice and IV nutrients
  • Low energy laser therapy

If you actively want to explore and optimize your health or get to the root cause of your health concerns, then I look forward to being your partner on the journey to authentic and holistic well-being.

Dr Pascale Henquin

General Practitioner & Anti Aging

Based in Houghton and Randpark Ridge. Dr Pascale works according to keeping patient’s health and not merely treating the disease. Her focus is preventing the degenerative process of aging and disease and the underlining cause of diseases and not just their symptoms.

It is essential for her to listen to her patients, to find the root of their problem, effects of genetic predispositions, family predispositions, lifestyle, toxic exposure, stress, work situation, emotional state, sleep, allergens, hormonal imbalance and then suggest a treatment that will be individual and tailored for each patient. Using Anti-Aging Medicine is really about the prevention, early detection and reversal of chronic diseases that become more common with age.

Dr Pascale qualified as a medical doctor in Belgium from the university of Louvain in 1984. Anti-Aging Medicine was always a part of the approach and treatment that she suggested to her patients while working in Belgium. While working in Belgium Dr Pascale was involved in a Weight loss program and coaching. In 2009 she joined the first Integrative Medical Centre with Dr Golding. She is also a student of the Functional Medicine University (USA- Dr Grisanti)

In her practice, she will use laboratory testing (saliva, blood, urine and stool) comprehensive medical questionnaire, stress assessment, neuro-transmitter assessment and from time to time will refer to overseas laboratories like Nordic od Doctors data.

At both her practices other than the test she does she provides the following:

  • Body Composition
  • ECG
  • Stress ECG
  • Lung Function
  • Urine Analysis
  • Sonar

She also provides Aesthetic services such as chemical Peels and weight-loss programs.
